    Extracurricular activities are activities that fall outside of the scope of your regular school day.  Extracurricular activities have many benefits so get involved!

    Mission of the Club:  The mission of the EAGLES: (Encourage And Give Learners Extra Support) Best Buddies is a team of general education students and special education students that support academic and social growth.

    Purpose of the Club:  To develop long lasting friendships between exceptional students; An exceptional student is someone who is a compassionate, loving, and loyal friend. Exceptional students in the general education program will work with exceptional students in the special education program to form friendships that will make a difference for everyone involved.

    Description of Planned Activities:  Monthly peer meetings for planning and training, meeting with buddies during advisement time and/or lunch time to form bonds, attend/plan events such as a Tailgating party, Fall Party, Holiday party, Valentine's party, end of the year celebration.

    Mission of the Club:  DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

    Purpose of the Club:  DECA integrates into classroom instruction. DECA activities and competitions apply learning to real-world scenarios through competitive events.

    Mission of the Club:  The goal of FBLA is to develop competent, aggressive business leadership in our members by strengthening their self-confidence and their work ethic. Membership in FBLA facilitates the transition from high school to secondary education and/or work.

  • VEX Robotics Team

    Meeting Dates/Times:  This is like a sport when it comes to dedication and practice. Students usually meet daily as needed right after school and build for several hours. Leading up to competition, students may be as late as 8pm working.   There are about 5 competitions per school year.

    Mission of the Club:  To build awesome competition robots and learn about robotics and application of physics

    Purpose of the Club:  The VEX Robotics Club is Collins Hill's competition robotics team. We compete in VEX Challenges (they change each year) at surrounding schools and venues. With each competition, our team increases its chance of participating in the Georgia State VEX competition and the VEX World Challenge.

    Description of Planned Activities:  Design, build, and program robots that will be used to compete in pre-determined challenges. There is typically one competition a month leading up to the state finals held in February.
