Digital Days Free Reading Resources
Take time to relax and read! Here are a few ideas to help you find reading resources and programs to participate in.
The DMS Readers Reward program ends on April 30th! There are rewards for reading 5 books and additional rewards for reading 10 books! Students who read 10 books and complete one of the small books projects are automatically invited to the Book Mobile visit on May 6! Each student will be able to choose a free book from the Book Mobile. Here is a link to the Reading Log. You may share your completed Readers Reward log and project with me at email@example.com
Access eBooks for free from Destiny, the DMS Media Catalog. You can read a book on any device. Read the directions as some of the books need to be checked out and others can be read by more than one person at a time.
Access ebooks from the Online Research Library. Directions are on the document that is linked in the above paragraph. Remember to use the databases as your BEST source of information when you research.
Do you have a Branch Out Gwinnett County Public Library card? This card provides staff and students with a card that waives overdue fines. You also get access to all of their digital resources including eBooks!
- The student will then be able to use their student ID as username and their birthday (MM/DD) as the password on the Libby app or to access any of the digital materials available at gwinnettpl.org.

Actors Guild reading picture books - Listen to some of your favorite actors reading picture books at https://www.storylineonline.net/. We all can enjoy a good picture book!
Six Flags Read to Succeed program for 6th graders only! Read 6 hours to earn a free Six Flags ticket for the summer! Parents create an account for their student and log the hours online. The code for Dacula Middle is: QMQWD. Search for your teacher once you have entered the code. Complete the reading log under your teacher’s name. The deadline to submit your reading logs is April 10, 2020.
Six Flags Six Hour Reading Program
6th Grade only
Now through April 17, 2020
New this year! Parents will sign up their student and track the reading online. Six Flags is using eREADING Logs this year. Go to Sixflags/books to register. Students may get the code from their teacher or Mrs. Greer, Media Specialist.

DMS Readers Reward
Readers Reward challenges DMS students to read at least 5 books during the school year. Students who show the completed form to the Media Staff will be able to check out 4 books at a time.
Students who read 10 books and complete a small project about the book will have the opportunity to come to the Book Mobile on May 6, 2020. This will be open to the first 500 students who turn in the completed Readers Rewards Challenge to Mrs. Greer. These students will be able to choose a free book from the Book Mobile to keep as their own.
Forms are due by April 30, 2020.
