Department of Student Services

The Department of Student Services supports all students as they matriculate through Gwinnett County Public Schools. Our department establishes processes, procedures, and best practices to support student learning and to promote success in social emotional development, positive behavior, and academic achievement. The department is comprised of specialized personnel with specific skills aimed at addressing support needs in school climate, positive behavior, social emotional wellness, counseling, wraparound support, and healthcare to remove barriers to education. Four offices make up the Department of Student Services: The Office of Behavior Supports and Interventions; The Office of Counseling, College and Career Services; The Office of Health and Social Services, and The Office of Social Emotional Learning. Each office works collaboratively within the department and across divisions to provide support and deliver services and programs that create positive learning environments and improve learning outcomes for all students.
