About GOC

  • GOC is an accredited, award-winning school that has served students since 1999. Gwinnett Online Campus is recognized as being a national leader in blended/online learning. Most online schools purchase digital content, but GOC is unique because the digital content is developed by GCPS teachers and is completely aligned with the AKS. In addition, best practices for delivering online instruction is utilized by teachers who are trained to provide feedback and support to digital learners.

How will instruction be delivered?

  • GOC classes are not traditional classrooms and students will not have traditional schedules where they are meeting with the teacher online for every class, every day. Unlike the digital learning that your student may have experienced this year, students will complete their online lessons independently on a daily basis. Students may email or call their teacher when they have questions. In most classes, teachers will hold one virtual session per week which will also be recorded. Students will receive the virtual schedules within their course shell. Students have a flexible schedule which means they must be motivated, self-driven, and independent learners who can manage their time. In addition, family support is important… successful students are ones where the family, the student, and the school all work together.
