Dance at North Metro Academy of Performing Arts is based on the philosophy that every scholar will have the opportunity to Discover And Nurture Creative Expression (D.A.N.C.E.) through the integration of academics and movement.
With each lesson, elements of the core curriculum are tied to facets of dance like terminology, technique, choreography and stage etiquette. From interactive games to online engagement, scholars collaborate to learn new things as they are exposed to a variety of dance styles like Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet as well as African and Latin dance styles. Most importantly, scholars are encouraged to have fun and discover what they can appreciate about dance for themselves.
