  • Back to School 2022

Welcome Back!

  • Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!  We are excited to welcome our students to campus to kick-off an amazing year of learning.  Below you will find the key items you need to prepare for a successful back to school:

Meet Your Teacher Day!  July 29, 2022

    12:30-2:30 pm 9th Grade Students

    3:00-5:00 pm 10th-12th Grade Students

Students and parents are encouraged to come meet teachers, pick-up classroom supply lists, find classrooms, check-out CHHS student Chromebooks, sign up for Parent Portal, find bus routes, visit the PTSA table to join and learn about volunteer opportunities, and learn more about Collins Hill and all of the resources we have available to students!  Students should check their MYeCLASS or the StudentVUE app to view their schedules prior to attending Meet Your Teacher.

    Student MYeCLASS Passwords

On July 25, 2022, student passwords will be reset to reflect their birthdays. To access the  student portal, students will be required to type their numeric birthday in the password field using two digits for their birth month, two digits for their birthday, and four digits for their birth year. For example, if a student’s birth occurred on June 9, 2015, their reset password would be 06092015.

Students in Grades 6-12 will be required to change their password immediately after the first successful login to the student portal. GCPS is strongly recommending students to generate a passphrase as their password.

We are very excited to be able to provide 1:1 access to Chromebooks for students.  Students will be assigned a Chromebook for the school year during Meet Your Teacher Day.  Students who are not able to attend July 29 will be assigned a Chromebook during the first three days of school.  Students who currently have a Chromebook checked-out or fines due to lost Chromebooks or accessories should visit the Media Center to return those items.  Fines should be paid online through MyPaymentsPlus.

Beginning the week of July 25, please visit MyPaymentsPlus to sign off on all beginning of year documents and to see handbook updates, to pay school fees, to purchase lockers, and to make contributions.

    Free and Reduced Lunch Applications

The Free and Reduced Lunch Application is now available for the 2022-2023 school year.  Please remember a new application must be submitted each school year since the previous year's application will not work.

    First Day of School

The first day of school for ALL grade levels is Wednesday, August 3.  Freshmen are the only students who should report to campus on August 3 for in-person learning.  10th-12th graders will participate in digital learning on August 3 and will then report to campus on August 4 to begin in-person learning.  Digital assignments will be posted for 10th-12th graders by 7 am on August 3.
