Advanced Chorus
Grade Level(s): 4th & 5th Grade
Meeting Days: Tuesdays (8/15- 3/6)
Meeting Times: 7:00-7:55am
Sponsor: Alexander
Students will learn sight singing on movable "Do", Curwen hand signs, solfege, and how to use your singing voice in preparation for Middle School Chorus. The repertoire for this group ranges from pop music, classical, and world music. The majority of the songs include movement and dance. This group performs during the winter and spring concerts and other school performances as they arise. This group prepares students for the Large Group Performance Ensemble auditions for the Georgia Music Educators Association. Students who are committed and dedicated to working hard will get the opportunity to apply to perform and participate in the GMEA Elementary All State Chorus and the GCPS Elementary Honor Chorus. There will be afternoon rehearsals close to performance dates.

Art Club
Grade Level(s): 5th Grade Only

This club provides students in 5th grade with an opportunity for creative exploration and artistic expression. Students will be exposed to a variety of art materials. Some of the exciting projects may include clay vases, handmade books, or printmaking. Students should be creative, independent, willing to try and experiment with new things, and most of all love ART!

Basketball Club
Grade Level(s): 5th Grade Only
Meeting Days: Wednesdays (1/17- 3/20)
Meeting Times: 7:05-7:45am

The Basketball Club will consist of basic basketball skills training of dribbling, passing, shooting, and game play for current 5th graders to help improve their current basketball skill set.

The Theatre Arts play a significant and essential role in ensuring a well-rounded education. Our goal for the drama club is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for students to be themselves, to make new friends, to explore new worlds, and to create performative art as an ensemble. Students will learn about the different aspects of theatre, including history, improv, acting techniques, costume design, and more. There will be at least one performance in the spring.
There is a $20 membership fee for each student to contribute to our drama club fund.

Harry Potter Club

Students will meet on Wednesday mornings to engage in various Harry Potter-themed activities. The purpose of the club is to get excited about reading, build relationships, and explore the imagination! Join us for a magical experience!
There is a $10 membership fee for each student to contribute to our club fund.

Chapter Cats

Meeting Times: 3:05-4:15pm

Students will meet every other Tuesday after school to discuss a book with their peers and participate in activities related to the book. The purpose of the book club is to become more passionate about reading and to share your thinking with others. Come get excited about reading with us!

Chattahoochee Robotics Team
Grade Level(s): 4th and 5th Grade
Meeting Days: Wednesdays and Thursdays
Meeting Times: 2:45-4:30

Our CES Robotics Team is a competitive group of students who participate in FLL. During the season, teams are given a FIRST LEGO League Challenge. The teams will choose and solve real-world problems in the project. They will also build, test, and program an autonomous robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS® technology to solve a set of missions in the Robot Game. Throughout their experience, teams will operate under the FIRST LEGO League's signature set of core values celebrating discovery, teamwork, and gracious professionalism.

Good News Club

Good News Club is an exciting, fun-filled hour and a half once-weekly club that includes:
- Dynamic Bible lessons
- Fun games

- Life-changing scripture memory
Your child will learn:

- Character qualities
- Moral values
- Biblical principles
And your child will have fun playing games and learning. All club workers are screened as required by Child Evangelism Fellowship‘s Child Protection Policy to ensure your child’s safety.

Modern Band

This group rocks! If you want to learn how to play in a rock band in the future, this group will give you a good start. This group involves bass and electric guitar, drums, keyboard, electric bass, Ukulele, and lots of percussion instruments.

Reader's Rally
Grade Level(s): 4th and 5th Grade
Meeting Day: One Friday per Month
Sponsors: Mrs. Ambekar
Students will read and discuss books from a county-selected list of 15 books. Other activities will include book reviews, book trailers, and quiz bowl games.

If you love the ukulele and guitar and want to be good at playing it, this is the club for you! We will learn basic chords that will allow you to play thousands of songs in no time.
