Puckett's Mill is launching a school-wide reading initiative that encourages students to read at home nightly. Students work to build reading stamina by meeting reading goals set for their grade levels as appropriate. There will be different seasonal challenges along the way, and our first is Cozy Up with Beanstack running fromFebruary 6-February 24once all students are introduced to the program during RRT Specials in the Media Center.
Beanstack is a digital reading log where students can record their reading nightly. As students add books/minutes read to their digital reading logs, they earn progress toward their reading challenge goal. Students who meet the challenge goal by the last day of the challenge will receive a prize and see their name displayed on the Scrolling Announcements. Some challenges within Beanstack will have additional activities for the students to complete. These activities help students earn badges within Beanstack and connect to special events or celebrations like Book Fair.
