Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Amanda Scott
I am a 1994 graduate of Valdosta State University and Brenau University. I have an (EDS) Education Specialist degree in Middle Grades Math and Science as well as School Leadership. I have been teaching for 23 years, and I became a teacher simply because my mother was a teacher for over 30 plus years. I learned very early in life the value of education and the abundance of opportunity that comes with being educated, so naturally I chose a career path to teach others. My favorite subject is Math, and I have always done well in Math throughout school and college. I love to curl up to a good book series and read uninterrupted for days. My favorite childhood book is Ferdinand the Bull. This was the book that my mom would read to me as a little girl.
Parents have the right to request information about the degree and qualifications of their child’s teacher(s) and paraprofessional(s), if applicable. This document is provided to parents via the GCPS Parent Handbook.
