    Meet Our Staff

    Lauren Dauge, Media Specialist

Welcome! I am Mrs. Dauge and I am excited to serve our Grace Snell students and staff. My education experience includes a Bachelor's degree in Educational Studies from Emory University, and a Master's degree in Instructional Technology-School Library Media from University of West Georgia. I love helping students find books they truly enjoy and providing them opportunities to explore various genres.  I also love working with students on digital tools to create and extend their learning. In my free time, I love to read retellings of classic fairytales and going camping with my family.

Who is eligible for the club?

The GSMS Readers Rally Reading Club is open to students in all grade levels (6th-8th) who have a passion for reading and enjoy discussing literature with other book enthusiasts. Please fill out the Interest Form, if you would like to join our club.

    Summary of Club Activities

The GSMS Readers Rally students read 10 books every school year from a predetermined list of books provided by the county and discuss the books to prepare for the Gwinnett County Readers Rally Championship that takes place every February at Peachtree Ridge High School. Click here to see the Readers Rally books for the 2022-2023 school year.

Meetings will consist of book discussions and trivia practice to help prepare for the county competition. Ten GSMS Readers Rally Reading Club members, who will become experts in the 10 book selections, will be selected to represent our school in this event and will compete against other middle school Gwinnett Readers Rally teams in a quiz bowl format, answering questions about the books.

    Meeting Location/Times

GSMS Readers Rally Club meetings take place in the Media Center. Announcements are made regularly during morning show regarding scheduled meetings and are posted on the scrolling announcements.

    Join the Club!

There is no cost to join our Readers Rally Reading Club. However, members will be required to purchase the Readers Rally T-shirt for the championship. Please click here for the Interest Form (must be signed in to your school Google account to access).
