Dear Mountain Park Families,
My name is Brian Walker, and I am proud to be the principal at Mountain Park Elementary School. I am excited and thrilled at the opportunity to be part of this community. Here is a little about me and my background: I have eighteen years of experience in elementary education. My most recent administrative experience has been as an Assistant Principal at Craig Elementary School. Prior to my work as an administrator, I taught fifth grade. I am elated to bring my skills as an educational leader to Mountain Park and to work with you as a partner in education to promote your child’s success.
As a new member to this community, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at Mountain Park by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. As I transition into the role of principal, please know that my door is open, and I welcome your input.
As your principal, I will continue to promote the great work of our entire staff as we strive to achieve academic and social excellence for all students through quality instruction. We will maintain high expectations for teaching and learning throughout the building, implement innovative and researched-based teaching strategies, and promote a positive climate and culture. Our staff and school community will provide opportunities for all students to succeed by enlisting the combined support of teachers, parents, and community.
