    Readers Rally

    Readers Rally is a reading quiz bowl style competition for students in grades four through twelve. Students read books from a predetermined list and answer questions about those books at the county competition in the Spring. 

  • S.W.A.T.

    S.W.A.T (students with advanced technology).  This club is made up of 4th and 5th graders.

    Led by the Simonton Media/Tech team, students are given the opportunity to learn GCPS software more in-depth, demonstrate their mastery of various technologies, and pilot new programs.

  • S.T.A.R.S. Club

    Students That Accept Responsibility Successfully (S.T.A.R.S.) is for girls in grades 3-5.

    The mission of the S.T.A.R.S. Mentorship Program is to assist in developing positive and confident young girls while increasing school performance and positive peer/family relationships. The program strives to:

    • Improve self-esteem and increase sense of self worth
    • Help improve academic skills
    • Create opportunities to develop interests, skills, and cultural awareness
    • Provide positive support and encouragement
    • Promote positive relationship building
    • Increase decision-making skills

    About Jr. Beta Club

    The Jr. Beta Club is an organization for 5th grade students at Simonton.  Its purpose is "to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, leadership and service."

    About Student Council

    Elementary school is one of the important first steps in a lifelong journey of learning. Students are molded into proper behavior and learn vital skills that will prepare them for advanced learning later in their education. An elementary student council presents a unique opportunity for young students to learn organization, leadership and teamwork skills and prepares them for later student government positions.

  • Good News Club

    For students in 2nd-5th Grade. Good News Club provides children with foundational principles that equips them with tools they need for success in school and in life. Good News Club provides the opportunity for children to interact with people that exemplify Christian principles and serve as role models that all children need to experience. Real life problems for many children are complicated and Good News Club is a positive, uplifting place that offer alternative solutions for children.

    LEGO Robotics Club- for students in 2nd-5th grades

    A FIRST LEGO League sponsored club that challenges kids to think like scientists and engineers, utilizing LEGO EV3 Mindstorms and WeDo2.0 technologies.
