  • American Sign Language Club

    For 2nd and 3rd grade students. In ASL Club we will learn respect and awareness for the deaf community. Club members will learn the ASL alphabet and how to fingerspell. We will learn ASL signs for; people, animals, foods, colors, feelings, holidays, etc. We will learn how to ask questions and have a basic conversation in ASL. Club members will learn a variety of songs and perform as a group at special events (TBD). Club members are expected to practice everything we learn at home and be prepared to use it in future meetings and group performances.  $20.00 club dues.

  • Art Club

    For 4th and 5th grade students. Art Club will be diving into deeper learning on elements of arts. We will be exploring various mediums and create artwork in many creating process. We will also be participating in art contests or community sponsored competitions. All students will need to bring their enthusiasm for art and creativity. Cost: $5 (make check payable to Ivy Creek Elementary or submit payment on MyPaymentsPlus). Please return all applications and club fee to the office or room 1.239. The first 24 applications will be accepted.

  • Best Buddies Club

    BEST BUDDIES is Ivy Creek’s Leadership Club for students in 4th and 5th grade. We will meet 1-2 times per month at 7:15 AM to discuss positive ways to exhibit leadership qualities at Ivy Creek and in life. We will learn pertinent character traits that are necessary in becoming a successful leader. We will work closely with Legacy Gwinnett Leaders from MCHS. To help fulfill our mission, club members will be "Best Buddies" with ICES students with special needs. These will be lifelong lessons that will carry our students through life. The club size is limited to the first 20 applicants. There is a fee of $10 to join. This will help to cover materials for our school and community projects. Please return the bottom of the application form with your payment to Mrs. Carr (Room 1.212).

    For students in 3rd through 5th grade. The environmental club is a school sponsored club in which students will make a difference for our earth. Students in the club will help with school recycling, educate the school on environmental concerns, and work in the school garden.

    FCA is a student led club for all students who are interested in serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ. To present to coaches and athletes, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.

  • Ivy Creek Chorus

    For 4th and 5th grade students (first 80 students will be accepted). The Ivy Creek Chorus is a performing group that promotes teamwork, gives a sense of belonging, develops school spirit, and is fun! Students are given the opportunity to apply concepts learned in their music class and develop their singing voices. The chorus meets weekly to prepare for special events inside and outside of school. Any 4th or 5th grader can join. Great behavior and attendance will ensure a high quality performance and positive role in our school community. We will participate in several school performances with opportunities for community performances as well.

  • JumpStart Club

    Ivy Creek will be offering the JumpStart Club this year. This club is a physical fitness program that will be offered to second and third grade students. The program will use fun activities to help students improve the quality of their lives through physical fitness. It is our hope that through participation in JumpStart students will notice an increase in their endurance, muscular strength, and flexibility.

  • Media Center Helpers

    For 3rd and 4th grade students. A limited number of students will be selected based on an application, teacher recommendation, and performance during training. Students will perform a variety of tasks including shelving books, making deliveries, light cleaning and assisting other students. Helpers meet one day per week during the school day for 20 minutes according to teacher and student schedule, typically during TDPE. Exceptional behavior is required of all media helpers. Applications are due Friday, September 7th.

  • MENSA Club

    Open to fourth and fifth grade students. MENSA club originally began as a monthly gathering of great minds. "Mens" means mind. Participating students will meet approximately twice a month after school to grow their minds collaboratively at higher levels of thinking. The goal is to inspire students to become lifelong learners who deliberately socialize as learners and become more involved in their community. Students will identify their intellectual strengths and foster them for the benefit of all members in the community. Students will be encouraged to conduct research with the prospect of increasing intellectual capacity. A stimulating intellectual and social environment will be encouraged by members through meetings, games, and projects. $10 fee for club supplies requested.

  • Mindful Cubs Club

    For 3rd thru 5th grade students (15 members max). Ivy Creek School Counselors believe mindfulness, the practice of breathing and relaxing your body, can lead to overall feelings of happiness. In Mindful Cubs, we will practice the art of mindfulness as well as some fun yoga sessions.

  • News Crew

    For 5th grade students. A limited number of students are selected to participate based on application and teacher recommendation. The selected students will work in teams to broadcast Ivy Creek's morning news program, "Live on 5". Jobs include anchoring the news, operating cameras, running sound, operating PowerPoint. Exceptional behavior is required of all news crew members. Applications are due Friday, September 7th.

  • Readers Rally

    For 4th and 5th grade students. A limited number of students will be selected to participate based on an application, teacher recommendation, and performance on homework assignment(s). Students are assigned to a group and then meet weekly with their group's coach and review a select number of books they've read. They practice questioning and answering each other based on the contents of the book. In February, we have a school competition in which ten students are selected to compete at the county Readers Rally Event. Applications are due Friday, September 7th.

  • Teddies and Tales Club

    For Kindergarten and first grade (limited to the first 20 students to sign up). Learning how to retell a story helps support your child's comprehension, fosters their imagination, and helps to build meaningful connections. Teddies and Tales is designed for kindergarten and first grade students only. On the scheduled club dates, members will bring their favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal to school and engage by listening to a story and learning how to retell it to someone, practicing on their stuffed animal first!

  • Ukulele Club

    The Ivy Creek Ukulele club promotes teamwork, gives a sense of belonging, develops school spirit and is fun! Students are given the opportunity to learn the basics of playing the ukulele and develop skills performing in a small ensemble. Any 4th or 5th grader can join (1st 25 students will be accepted). Great behavior and attendance will ensure a high quality experience for all club members. Depending on interest and how much we learn, we may perform at the chorus concert on February 7th or at other performance opportunities during the year. Deadline for joining: November 2, 2018. Cost: $25.

  • Witzzle Pro Club

    Open to fourth and fifth grade students. Witzzle Pro is comprised of a unique 3-by-3 array of the digits 1 through 9. The challenge is to manipulate three digits and two operations to equal a target number. Students must draw upon their knowledge of basic math facts, understanding of numbers and operations, and application problem-solving strategies.
