New to PMES counseling department, this is my 24th year working as a school counselor in Gwinnett County. I am returning to counseling after some time off, but have worked previously in this area as a counselor at Fort Daniel and Duncan Creek. I am a native of South Carolina but a long time resident of Gwinnett County. I received my Bachelor and Master degrees from Clemson University and my Ed Specialist degree from Georgia State University.
I have three grown children who were all students in the Gwinnett County School System. I enjoy reading and being with my family and friends! I am excited to be returning to my passion of working with children.

This is my third year at Puckett's Mill Elementary School.  After teaching in Fulton County and Dekalb County, I was a sixth grade teacher at Dacula Middle School and the reading specialist at Osborne Middle School.  I worked from home while my children were young as a tutor, writer, and a transcriptionist. After attending graduate school, I joined the Puckett's Mill Elementary School staff as a school counselor. Currently, I am at school Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On Wednesdays, the wonderful Mrs. Cheatham is here if students need to see a counselor.

When I am not working at Puckett's Mill Elementary School, I am working on my graduate degree.  When I am not studying, I am enjoying time with my family (Mr. Capes is the PMES Physical Education teacher, my youngest son is in 4th grade at PMES and my other son is in 7th grade at Osborne Middle School).  I also enjoy writing music and reading a great book!
