    Cost: There is a $20 fee for Art Club that will be explained in the packets that will be sent home with Art Club members the same day.

    Description:  Art Club is for students who LOVE art and want to expand their creativity. The club will explore a variety of media, techniques, and concepts. Members will participate in local and national art contests, displays, exhibits, and service projects. Art Club is an extracurricular activity available for 4th & 5th graders.

  • Buddies Club

    Grade Level:  2nd thru 5th

    Meeting Day/Time/Location: 

               Meetings:  9/5, 10/3, 11/7, 12/5, 1/9, 2/6, 3/5, 4/9, 5/7; 7:15am - 7:45am; Mrs. Creekmur's Classroom

    Cost:  $10 per semester (Due September 5 and January 9)

    Description:  Buddies Club helps foster long lasting friendships between exceptional students both with and without disabilities through organzied activites and events.  This club trains peers once a month before school on how to work with students who have exceptionalities.  We will have a Buddy Club event after school once a month.  This is a time for buddy pairs to get to know one another more and participate in a fun activity together.  Buddies can also eat lunch once a week and go to their buddy's class during recess time once a week.

    Registration:  If you are interested in becoming a member, please get and return the membership applicaiton from Mrs. Creekmur.  The application includes self-reflection questions and a teacher recommendation.  Applications and teacher recommendations are due August 20th to Mrs. Creekmur.  Club members will be confirmed August 27th.  Club members will officially meet their buddies at our first after school event on September 16th.

  • Chess Club

    Grade Level:  K - 5th

    Description:  Chess Club is facilitated by Kid Chess, Atlanta’s leading chess program for kids. Their coaches teach chess in a fun and educational environment.  Children learn chess strategies and concepts through cartoons, demonstrations, and play! Regular chess, speed chess, and partner chess are just a few of the game variants played in club. Playing chess has proven to help enhance creativity, improve concentration, develop and expand critical thinking skills, boost memory and retention, and achieve superior academic performance.

  • Escape the Classroom with Breakout EDU

    Grade Level:  3rd thru 5th

    Description:  Use the 4 C's of 21st Century Learning - Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Commuication, and Creativity - in weekly challenges that require students to think outside of the box in order to break in it!  Students will use a series of clues placed around the room to solve puzzles and break codes to open a series of locks to find hidden treasures.

  • Good News Club

    Good News Club is an exciting, fun-filled Bible Club that meets after school, once a week for an hour and a half- complete with snacks, games, Bible stories, music and fun.

    All club members must have a Parent Permission Registration Form on file to attend.  The club is adopted by a local church that provides a team of 10 trained & screened volunteers. Snacks, prizes, seasonal parties, along with high energy songs, interactive games and character building stories.

    DescriptionHistory Club is for students who LOVE the history of our great nation. We will “travel” through history with various hands-on activities to make history come alive for the students. At the end of our time together, students will participate in a Living History Museum.

  • Robotics Club

    Description:  Students will learn to design, program and control fully‐functional robotic models. They will use software to plan, test and modify sequences of code for a variety of life‐like robotic behaviors. Club activities provide a series of real‐life scenarios, covering topics within science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. (*Students must have earned an S or better in conduct and a grade of at least a B in Math and Science the first semester. Parents must confirm this information prior to registration.)

    DescriptionStudents will have choices to focus their work in this club.  Some focus areas can include 3D design, coding, troubleshooting, and video production.  Students will share leadership for the development of ideas and projects.  We will develop collaboration and communication skills as a group.
