Certificate of Enrollment
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mill Creek High School and other Gwinnett County high schools currently are not issuing Certificates of School Enrollment (a document required of 16 and 17-year-olds to obtain a learner’s permit/license).
NOTE: Students who ordered a Certificate of Enrollment (COE) and picked it up before school closed on March 16 have 90 days from the date on the COE to apply for a permit/license.
At this time, Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) offices are issuing only truck driver’s licenses. They are not issuing learner’s permits or driver’s licenses (since they are not conducting road tests due to social distancing requirements). To check for updates, visit the Georgia DDS website https://dds.georgia.gov/, where it will announce new dates for services.
ADAP (Alcohol & Drug Awareness Program) Card
An ADAP card is required to test for a driver's license. Students receive their ADAP card after their successful completion of the Alcohol and Drug Awareness program through their health class.
If you lose your ADAP certificate, you may get a replacement from the community school in the front office for a replacement fee of $5.00.
Replacement certificates for the GA Department of Driver Services eADAP online program can be obtained here at no charge.
