This year we are focusing on learning what makes someone a digital citizen. A digital citizen is a person who develops the skills and knowledge to effectively use the Internet and other digital technology, especially in order to participate responsibly in social and civic activities. - (Definition by Dictionary.com) Students will be deepening their knowledge of the components of what makes a good digital citizen through lessons in the Media Center and in their classrooms. Common Sense Media is great website to help teach children the importance of digital citizenship. We will be using BrainPop videos and Nearpod lessons approved by the county to help students delve deeper into the topic of digital citizenship and to help our students develop the habits of a responsible digital citizen.
