Chorus

For 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade Students:

In Jackson Elementary School’s Chorus, students will have the opportunity to learn more about music and teamwork by singing a wide variety of music together. This is the time for your students to develop their musical talents and share them with others!

Chorus auditions are open to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. The auditions will take place on Thursday, September 1st, from 3:15 - 5:30 p.m. During the audition, we will teach the students a song to perform for us. They will not need to prepare anything ahead of time. If your child is selected for the Jackson Chorus, specific information will be sent home on Friday, September 2nd.

The dues for the Chorus club will be $35 for the 1st semester and $25 for the 2nd semester. Students will stay in the music rooms for the duration of the auditions. At 5:30 p.m., students will be ready for pick up in the car rider lane.

Students who are interested in participating chorus must go through an audition   When auditions have been completed an invitation will be sent to those students who qualified.

Drama Club

For 5th Grade Students:

Drama Club produces a fall and spring show. 5th grade students may audition for each show. Students will rehearse and perform a scripted play. In Drama Club, students learn the basics of stagecraft, public speaking, creativity and imaginative play, self-discipline and team work, the importance of hard work, all while building confidence. Rehearsals are once a week on Wednesday afternoons 3:15 - 4:30. This Fall, our production will be North Pole's Got Talent!

Lions on the Move!

For 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Students:

Jackson Elementary School’s new club, Lions on the Move, allows students to have the opportunity to learn more about healthy lifestyles. This includes lessons on healthy food options, stretching, and the importance of exercise in our daily lives.  The club will meet on Wednesdays from 3:25 - 4:30 PM.

Readers Rally

For 4th & 5th Grade Students:

Readers Rally is a quiz-bowl-style competition between all Gwinnett County Schools designed to promote reading. Students will read 15 books from the Readers Rally Book List and participate in discussion and activities pertaining to the books. The club will culminate in a school competition which will determine the team of up to ten students who will go on to the county competition in February.

Robolion Cubs

For 4th & 5th Grade Students:

The Robolion Cubs team will be forming soon for the 2022-2023 school year!

Our team can consist of up to 10 members. Members will be a mix of 4th and 5th graders. Robotics is a school sponsored club that uses the Lego Spike Prime Robots to build and program. The robot will be programmed to complete a set of missions supplied by First Lego League. WE DO NOT BUILD LEGOS! This is important to understand. Meetings are held twice a week: Monday – 3:15pm to 4:30pm AND Friday – 7am to 7:45am. 


The team will be selected based on the applications submitted. Team members will be required to pay $125 to participate payable through MyPayments Plus. The participation fee is due on our first club meeting on September 19, 2022.
