  • About Ms. Cabezas

I was an elementary media specialist for 6 years.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree at California State Long Beach; my Master's Degree at University of West Alabama; and my Specialist Degree at University of Georgia. Before becoming a Media Specialist I taught 3rd grade for 4 years.  I absolutely love being a Media Specialist and can not think of being in any other profession.

I continue to strive to develop a strong program grounded in reading, research and the use of technology and digital citizenship.

  • Summer Reading READ-O is back!

Over the summer break score a READ-O by completing five (5) activities in a row. Have a parent or guardian initial each activity once it is completed. Fill in the information about each activity (book title, magazine title, etc.) in each box you complete. A book can only be used ONCE on the board. Bring your completed READ-O sheet to your Language Arts teacher in August and you will be invited to a special Summer Reading Event!  The rising grade level READ-O sheets and Readers Rally Book Lists are provided below.
