Ms. Jessica Brace

Ms. Jessica Brace is a biology teacher at Peachtree Ridge.  This is her 5th year at Peachtree Ridge, returning to the classroom after 6 years at home with her children.  During her time away from the classroom she worked as a life science consultant.  In this role she provided staff development for k-12 teachers in the major metro Atlanta school systems as well as facilitating AP biology labs at the Environmental Heritage Center. Though the majority of her time was spent teaching, parenting, and developing her own two children, who are now 8 & 10.  Prior to her classroom hiatus Jessica taught all levels of biology (including AP) at Collins Hill high school for eight years. Ms. Brace is also serving as the instructional coordinator (department chair) for the science department.
Jessica earned both her Bachelor of Science in Education and her Masters of Education degrees from the University of Georgia in Athens.  She is also a former Gwinnettian having graduated from Duluth High School.  Jessica currently lives close to downtown Atlanta with her husband, 2 kids, and 2 cats.  She feels the long commute is worth it to be able to work at such a great school, with amazing faculty, students and parents.  Ms. Brace loves being part of the RIDGE!
