Mrs. Dawn Cordell

Mrs. Cordell is beginning her 31st year of teaching in the Special Education Department, her seventh year here at Peachtree Ridge. After retiring last May, Mrs. Cordell is very excited to be returning to the Ridge part time this year. Mrs. Cordell currently teaches Economics/Political Systems in the interrelated department as well as co-teaching in Econ/PS. She has taught elementary, middle school, and high school throughout her career. She has taught in the fields of Special Education and ESOL. Mrs. Cordell received her B.A. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Sociology, her M.Ed. in Special Education from The College of William and Mary, and her Ed.S. in Brain-based Learning from Nova Southeastern University.  Mrs. Cordell was born and raised in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and is an avid sports fan! She and her husband, Greg, have two daughters who are in eleventh and ninth grade  at  Peachtree Ridge High School. Go Lions!
