Ms. Jennifer Griner
Ms. Jeni Griner is a Visual Arts Instructor at Peachtree Ridge. During the 2018 - 2019 school year she will be teaching Visual Arts Comprehensive I (2D) and II (3D), Drawing and Painting I, and Advanced Digital Media Design in the spring. Ms. Griner is also the sponsor for the PRHS National Art Honor Society and recognized at the Georgia NAHS sponsor of the year in 2018.
Ms. Griner spent 5 years in the corporate world as a Graphic Designer, and during that time she was responsible for much of the signage for the 1996 Olympic Yachting events and for the 1995 Northeast Georgia ADDY Awards. She began her 22-year teaching career in 1997 where she spent five years at Calvary Baptist Day School in Savannah, GA and then enjoyed the next seven years as the fine arts department chair at her alma mater, Southeast Bulloch High in Brooklet, GA. She transferred to the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology in 2009 before coming to Peachtree Ridge in 2017.
Ms. Griner completed her Masters of Art in Teaching at Georgia Southern University in 2007 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Commercial Art at Brenau University in 1996. A native of the Savannah area, she has two sons, Joshua (23) and Brandon (21). She and her significant other, Rob, rescued a silver lab named Sidney in 2017 and a black and tan hound in 2018. They enjoy spending time on the lake with their puppies. Aside from her love of everything art, in her free time, Ms. Griner also looks forward to visiting her family in Savannah, attending concerts and horror conventions, and cruising in her 2013 Mustang, Christine.
