Meet The Counselors
Hello, my name is Jennifer Collins, and I am excited to be a part of the Riverside Counseling Team. I am primarily working in 2nd-5th grades this year.
I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology. I then went on to Auburn University where I received my Master's degree in both Community Agency and School Counseling and my Doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision.
This will be my 22nd year as a school counselor. My husband is a middle school teacher. We have two boys, Ryne is 15 and Henry will be in 4th grade with us here at Riverside, and two cats. In my free time I enjoy crocheting, cooking, and exploring new places. I can't wait to partner with our parents, teachers, and administration to grow amazing children.
Hello! My name is Kathryn Palmer, and I am excited to be a part of the Riverside Counseling Team! I will primarily work with kindergarten and 1st grade this year.
I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Masters Degree in School Counseling from Valdosta State University, and a Specialist Degree from University of Georgia. Go Dawgs!
This is my 17th year in school counseling. I have worked at both the middle and elementary school level. My family recently moved to the area from Rome, Georgia for my husband’s job. I have 3 children- Ryleigh (7th), Josiah (5th), and Olivia (2nd). In my free time, I like to watch sports, hang with my family, travel, try new foods, and take my lab to the dog park! I am excited to be at Riverside and be a support for our teachers, students, and parents. 💛
