• NHS - National Honor Society

  • Meeting Location: Once a month on Fridays (6:45 am and 2:30 pm) MPR in the AM and the CLC in the PM

    MIssion/Purpose: The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921. Building and promoting ideals such as scholarship, service, leadership, and character to enable students to find their life path. 

    NHS is an invitation only organization based on academic achievement for juniors and seniors who have 92.0 or higher cumulative averages. When students first qualify, they will receive a mailed letter in August requesting a commitment form be completed. After that, an official induction ceremony will take place in September. If members do not fulfill their 15 points service requirement per year of membership, they will be dismissed from the club. Additionally, candidates are only asked one time to join. Lastly, there are annual dues.
