    Information: At theCoderSchool, we want to do more than just teach coding. We want aspiring coders to use their new found passion as a stepping stone to thinking outside the box, as a way to channel their ideas in a creative way and most importantly, to have fun. 

    K-2 will meet Tuesdays from 3:15-4:15 in room 2.101

    3-5 will meet Wednesdays from 3:13-4:15 in room 2.101

    All Pro Dad- We are a group of people passionately committed to bringing intentional focus to fathers around the world. Our message will inspire you to embrace who you are, give you tenderness of heart, and boldness of character as a dad and husband. We are consistently here for you to provide guidance and practical tips in raising your kids in a life giving way. All Pro Dad is a program of Family First.

  • Art Club

    Open to 4th – 5th Grade Students

    Information: 

    Student artists will come together to improve skills, compare art and artists, and participate in different group events. The members will explore various art techniques in a small group setting and use an assortment of mediums that they may or may not experience in regular art classes. Student artists in grades 4 and 5 that are interested in participating will complete an application process (due to limited spots available). Student artists will meet Thursday mornings September 15-November 3 from 7:15-8:00. Art Room.

  • Chess Club

    Open to 2nd – 5th Grade Students

    Sponsor: Shawn Byrne, Jesse Suero

    The purpose of the Chess Club is to provide a forum in which all skill level Chess players from 2nd to 5th grade can exercise their talents and develop into Chess players of excellent caliber and character and to promote the study and knowledge of Chess; not only for fun and enjoyment, but also as a tool to become problem solvers. The club will teach beginner chess players basic moves/strategies and will introduce experienced players to advanced tactics needed to improve their game.

    The Chess Club will meet in the cafeteria Tuesdays 3:15-4:15 for 8 weeks: Feb. 14-April 18, 2023.

    Space is limited- first come first served. Participants must complete the application below- please note there is also a fee of $25.00

  • Chorus

    Open to 4th & 5th Grade Students by audition

    Information: Chorus is an extension of the music curriculum with an emphasis on singing and performance skills.  These 4thand 5th grade students will participate in several concerts at Suwanee ES and in the community throughout the school year. Last rehearsal for the year is 3/16/22.

    This club meets on Thursdays from 3:15-4:00 pm. Music Room.

    Open to 2nd–5th Grade Students

    Good News Club is a weekly interdenominational Christian program for 5-to-12-year-old children featuring a Bible lesson, songs, memory verses, and games.   Thursday 3:00-4:30. SES Cafeteria. Starts 9/15.

    Information: Guitar Club promotes musical literacy and life-long learning through involvement with the guitar.  Guitar Club brings together students to play and appreciate music and the guitar.  Students will participate in a performance to showcase their newly acquired talents.  This club will meet on Wednesday from 3:00 – 4:00.      Kidz Keys provides students in K through 3rd Grade an environment to explore and express their own creativity - all while having fun learning with friends! Our experienced teachers work with students to develop their own musical abilities, promote self-confidence, and encourage teamwork. This club will meet on Wednesday from 3:00-4:00. Room 1.109.

  • Odyssey

    Odyssey

    Information: Odyssey of the Mind (OM™) teaches students how to develop and use their natural creativity to become problem-solvers. Imagine being faced with a problem that requires an original solution. OM brings the classroom to life as students apply what they learn and combine it with their interests and passions to solve our unique open-ended problems. OM also emphasizes teamwork, budgeting, time management, public speaking, and so much more. This international program is designed to help students at all learning levels grow as individual learners, grow as team members, and to reach their full potential. 

    Meetings are Wednesdays from 3:15-4:30. 8/31-1/23.  Room 2.111

  • Orff Ensemble

    Open to 4th & 5th Grade

    Sponsor: Marti Parker Orff Ensemble has a great time playing instruments like xylophones and hand percussion, and is open to 4th and 5th graders.

    This club will meet on Tuesday mornings from 7:15 am – 8:00 am.

  • PE Club

    The Fitness Club will allow students to increase their strength and fitness levels. Students will learn about physical activity, exercise, and fitness by utilizing fitness games and activities that are aligned with the Gwinnett County Public Schools PE Academic Knowledge and Skills.

    This club will meet on Thursday mornings from 7:30 – 8:10 am. Gym.

  • Readers Rally

    Open to 4th & 5th Grade Students

    Information: Readers Rally is a reading quiz bowl style competition for students in fourth and fifth grade by teacher recommendation.  Students read books from a pre-determined list and answer questions about those books.  This club will meet on Monday afternoon from 3:00-4:00

  • Robotics Club

    Information: Students will have various opportunities to explore robotics.  This club will begin in the fall and the team will have a chance to compete in events.  This club will meet on Thursday afternoons from 3:00-4:30. Room 1.108.

  • Technology Club (Whiz Learning Kids)

    Sponsor: Nidhi Jain

    Whiz Kids (Tech Club)-  will meet after school to help enhance students' technological skills. Students will participate in hands-on sessions while learning to use Animation Design, Visual Art Tools, and 3D Design Tools. Students will have an opportunity to showcase their projects. Technology Club will meet on Wednesday from 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Media Center. Available to students in grades 2-5.
