  • Benefield Dancers Dance Team

    Dance Club at Benefield Elementary School

    Club Name:  Benefield Dancers

    Club Description:  The purpose of Benefield Dancers’ club to provide opportunity to learn and perform dance.  Through dancing the students are getting opportunity to grow as a whole child!

    Planned Activities

    Physical development:  Dancing is a highly physical activity, and kids who take dance lessons regularly should expect to see a significant improvement in their overall physical health.

    Social Development:  Dance lessons can help children improve their social and communication skills, learn how to work as part of a team, develop a greater sense of trust and cooperation and make new friends

    Cognitive Development:  Becoming a skilled dancer requires practice, discipline and focus, skills that can be useful in other areas of your child's life.  The dance lessons can help to spark creativity in young children

    Psychological Development:  As children adjust to the movements and postures required in dance, they begin to get a better sense of their bodies. As they become more comfortable in their own skin, their confidence and self-esteem also improve

    Who: Students in all grade level are invited to participate, (grades K -2 in  Group 1 and grade 3 to 5 as Group 2)  regardless of skill level; however, participation will be limited to the first 20 students per group register.

  • 4th & 5th Grade Peer Leadership

    hands together Club Description: The purpose of the Peer Leader Club is to build the leadership skills of the participants. Students are selected through an application process. 

    The Benefield 4th and 5th Grade Peer Leaders attended the Gwinnett County Public Schools 9th Annual Peer Leader Conference on Saturday, 12/1/18 at Discovery High School.  They participated in 2 Leadership learning sessions. The Keynote Speaker was Mr. Dave Jones from Mason ES. The students had an engaging day of learning, as well as lunch from Chick-fil-a! There were more than 40 schools attending.

  • Art Club

    paint palett Club Description: Art Club serves as an extra-curricular focused on visual art.  Many of the projects created in art club use media not commonly used in the art room, providing a new creative experience for club members.

  • Benefield Book Club

    book club Club Description:  The purpose of the Benefield Book Club is to promote reading with students who desire to share their love of reading with others. Students will read from the list of selected titles for Readers Rally, discuss the books, and answer questions about each title in preparation for the Readers Rally Competition.

  • Benefield Boys 2 Men

    Boys to Men Club Description: The purpose of the club is to mentor young boys into young men. Teaching them about brotherhood, scholarship, manhood and leadership. To aim, live and strive in excellence by being able to build teamwork through leadership skills and scholarly duties.

We focus on girls success through self-empowerment, entrepreneurship, scholastic success, and navigating socially through upper elementary school. First Ladies fosters Girl Power at all levels.

  • Girls on the Run

    Girls on the Run Club Description: A physical activity-based positive youth development program that inspires 3rd through 5th grade girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

    Who: 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, and 5th Grade Girls

    Planned Activities: Girls on the Run is a Run Curriculum that consists of a series of 24 lessons that build relationships with girls and create a safe environment for the team to interact and grow.  Girls will participate in a 5k run, in May 2019, with a running buddy of their choice.

  • Good News Club

    good news club Club Description: The purpose of the club is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship in which trained teachers meet with groups of children in schools, homes, community centers, churches, apartment complexes, just about anywhere the children can easily and safely meet with their parent's permission.

    *Student members who have siblings that are in (K-1) are welcomed to attend with their older sibling.

    Planned Activities: Club meetings are every Tuesday from 3:20 to 4:50.

    Each meeting is filled with action-packed time also includes songs, Scripture memory, a missions story and review games or other activities focused on the lesson’s theme.

    Each club includes a clear presentation of the Gospel and an opportunity for children to trust the Lord Jesus as Savior. Every club also includes strong discipleship training to build character and strengthen moral and spiritual growth

    Club Description: Man Kicking Soccer Ball The purpose of Benefield Intramurals is to provide an opportunity for students to participate in sports and recreational activities through individual and team sports. Activities will include fundamental sports skills, lifetime fitness skills, and cooperative games.

    Who: Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 are invited to participate, regardless of skill level; however, participation will be limited to the first 30 students per grade level to register. 

    Planned Activities: The students will participate in Basketball, Soccer, Floor Hockey, Badminton, Smash Ball, Whiffle Ball, Volleyball and Bowling.

  • Lego Club

    lego logo Club Description: The purpose of the club is to encourage creativity, problem-solving, innovation and teamwork through a wide range of fun and engaging challenges and games all based around the humble LEGO brick. We will be exploring aspects of Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math (STEM) activities in our challenges.

  • Math Club

    math symbols Club Description: The purpose of Math Club is to promote a love of mathematics, increase mental math skills, and show students how math is useful in everyday life. We hope not only to increase awareness of the variety of benefits that math has, but to promote interest amongst students for the creative aspects of problem-solving as well.  The Math Club is a place where STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) are encouraged through hands-on activities.

  • National Honor Society

    National Honor Society Club Description: The purpose of this organization shall be to recognize students for their outstanding academic achievement and demonstrated personal responsibility, to provide service to the school and community, and to develop leadership skills in the students of elementary schools.

  • Robotics Team: Benefield Titan Bots

    robot image Club Description: FIRST LEGO League challenges kids in over 80 countries to think like scientists and engineers.  During the season, teams are given a FIRST LEGO League Challenge. The teams will choose and solve real-world problems in the project. They will also build, test, and program an autonomous robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS® technology to solve a set of missions in the Robot Game.  Throughout their experience, teams will operate under the FIRST LEGO League signature set of Core Values, celebrating discovery, teamwork, and Gracious Professionalism®.

  • Safety Patrol

    Safety Patrol Club Description:  The purpose of the School Safety Patrol is to remind students of the school safety rules and to guide them in safe arrival, dismissal, and movement through the building. It also provides students with the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills by modeling how to be respectful, responsible, and ready.
