Summer Health and PE 2023 - Academic Credit Courses!
Does your student need to free up his or her schedule to allow for band, theater, chorus, orchestra, or athletics? If you answered yes, then you should consider allowing your student to take Health and Personal Fitness (PE) during the summer of 2023 through the Parkview Community School located at Parkview High School.
Course Details
- Class dates: Monday - Thursday, May 31 - June 29
- Registration opens: March 1
- Registration deadline: May 22
- $250 per class (Health + PE = $500)
- These courses are virtual/online courses.
- A computer with a camera is required.
- Must have access to a fitness app.
- Must record physical activity.
- Please carefully review the complete course details in the registration packet.
To sign up, please complete the registration packet, and bring your form to the Community School. You can also complete it digitally and email it to the Parkview Community School.
Current GCPS students can pay for the course(s) online at MyPaymentsPlus (under the Community School heading). Be sure to select Parkview HS and NOT GOC. If you are not currently attending a GCPS school but will attend Parkview in August, you may pay for these courses in person via cash, money order, or credit card at the Community School office.

Driving Only Instruction - Ongoing
Driving Only Instruction - Ongoing
Parkview Community School is now offering Driving Only Instruction. Get additional driving hours and behind-the-wheel instruction outside of our full Driver's Education course.
- The course is $270.00 for 6 hours of Behind-the-Wheel instruction.
- Driving time is scheduled with the instructor after completion of registration at MyPaymentsPlus (MPP)

Online Driver Education
You can take our online driver education course anytime, anywhere, on any device - wherever you have Internet access.
About the course:
- Licensed by the Georgia Department of Driver Services
- Meets the Joshua's Law requirement for teen drivers
- Required to obtain a Class D license if you are under 17
- This course covers the 30-hour classroom portion of driver education. It does not include on-the-road instruction.
- Cost: $65

Registration and Payment
We prefer that you register and pay online using MyPaymentsPlus. If you have never used MyPaymentsPlus, please create an account and then go to Manage Student and add your student by Student ID number. We also accept cash, money orders, debit cards, and most major credit cards. We are unable to accept checks. Some courses and events may require an additional form; please check course descriptions on this page for details.

Facility Use
- Facility Use Forms are required for all reservations.
- Forms should be submitted a week in advance to ensure that HVAC will be ordered in a timely manner.
- All changes / cancellations must be submitted a week prior to the scheduled event.
