Suggested Summer Assignments 2020-2021
Summer assignments are suggested as a way to prepare a student for an upcoming class. These assignments are ungraded since they are not explicitly taught. These assignments offer students an opportunity to develop a better foundation before beginning a course.

This summer there is NO REQUIRED reading. However, in order to be prepared for the school year, we recommend that you read at least one book on your own for pleasure. Below you will find a list of suggested books. Please consider reading some of these texts so that you are ready to read in the Fall. We look forward to meeting you in August!

On-line summaries of The Iliad and of The Odyssey (It is NOT necessary to read Homer's poems in full. Having a general idea of them is enough.)
Bulfinch's Mythology (skip the Norse and Germanic stuff)
