Mrs. Mikki Asberry

Great day to you Trip Family! I am Mikki Asberry and appreciate the continued love and professional support of our great leaders and educational colleagues represented here in Rams Country! I am Atlanta born and Decatur raised. Elementary education and Atlanta cultural history have been pillars of my motivation to receive both my Bachelor of Arts degree in Leadership Studies with a minor in Religious Studies and also obtaining my Masters of Education degree in Elementary Education. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”-Nelson Mandela

When I am not teaching, I find myself anchored and encouraged by the consistent love and support from my husband and our two college-age sons. I enjoy giving and receiving constant support from my tribe of lifelong friends, anything that's the color purple, cheering Atlanta Falcons football, journal blogging, listening to good music and reading actual hard/paperback books.

This year is going to be GREAT! Teaching and learning are my favorite activities and I consider myself a lifelong student. Our faculty and staff here at Trip Elementary are outstanding, and I cannot wait to journey along with your child for all of the learning adventures we will take together this year.
