    Dear Student and Parent/Guardian: 

    This Tuesday, May 10th, you will be able to access courses for the 2022-2023 school year through StudentVue and ParentVue (Parent Portal). Please look under the “Documents” tab to access the Student Course Request Profile.  This is a year-long registration. Most students will have 12 courses. The 12 courses represent the 6 academic courses all students take each semester or 6 courses x 2 semesters for each = 12 courses.  

    In January, current teachers registered students for the specific level of core courses (Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language) they recommended and signed students up for advanced courses that required teacher approval, student application, audition, or prerequisite completion.  At that time, we also asked students to make selections for their elective courses. Due to class offerings and size limits, your student may have been placed in an alternate course choice. 

    If you wish to request a change in your student’s course selections, please go online and complete the Google Form: MVHS 2022-2023 Drop/Add

    Please complete the Google Form as soon as possible for the best chance of receiving your requested change(s).  If space is available in the course you are requesting and you meet the prerequisite(s) for the course, we will make every effort to accommodate the requested change. We will continue to accept forms until Friday, May 20th; however, courses may fill up before this time.  

    If you request a level change or course change that the course teacher did not recommend, the Curriculum Office will review your request and be informed of the decision by June 4th. If the level change request is accepted, the student must take responsibility for his/her success in the course.   

    Please keep in mind that this is the time for course change requests to be made, and no other opportunity will be given. Absolutely no course change requests will be accepted after May 20th.  You will receive notification of the decision through the email address you submitted on the Google Form. 

    If your student does not have any course requests listed, please email MVHS.scheduling@gcpsk12.org.  We may require documentation before we can schedule your student.
