Hello....my name is Rhonda Adams. I’m a Paraprofessional ASD Level 3 and work with 4th and 5th grade. I’ve also worked with 2nd and 3rd grade ASD Level 3. I love working with kids and enjoy watching their progress. I’ve been at Trip for 5 years and look forward to many more fun years.

Hello, my name is DeMona Long and I am a paraprofessional with the ASD level 3 program. I am married and the proud parent of a daughter who attends the University of Alabama "ROLL TIDE". Hi! I am so excited to be joining the Trip Elementary School Team this year! I will be teaching the K-2nd ASD classroom. I attended Georgia College & State University for my Special Education degree. I look forward to building relationships with my students and their families. I hope to encourage my students to be their very best in and out of the classroom.

Hello, my name is Leslie Wheeler and I am very excited to join the Trip Elementary family!  I will be teaching students in the ASD level 3 program grades 3-5.  I have 15 years of classroom teaching experience in different areas of special education.  My last 10 years have been in Gwinnett County ASD levels 1 and 2.  I also served as a county level special education director for 3 years in North Carolina.  I have devoted my career to making sure that students with exceptionalities achieve to their highest potential!  My son is a rising senior at Brookwood High, and my daughter is a rising junior at UGA.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading and spending time with my family and two German Shepherds.

Born and raised in New York City, I received my Bachelor’s degree at Bernard M. Baruch College in New York, NY. I obtained my Master’s degree in Special Education from Old Dominion University of Virginia and began my teaching career in 1997 in Virginia Beach, VA. In 2014, my very supportive husband, Robert, along with our three incredible children, Robyn, Nia and AJ, relocated to Lawrenceville, Georgia. I enjoy interior decorating, family dinners, and developing and teaching Sunday school lessons. It is an honor to work in a school that operates in a culture of excellence and prepares our students for a bright future. I am truly blessed to serve in the Trip community and look forward to an awesome school year!

Mrs. Randi Young

My name is Randi Young. This year I will mark my 9th year working at Trip Elementary, and 14th year working in Gwinnett County Schools. In 2015, I received my Masters Degree in Special Education, and this year will be working with ASD level 4 students in grades K-5. I live with my husband of 36 years, and have 2 amazing boys, ages 25 and 21. My youngest will be a Senior this Fall, and is on a Full Football Scholarship at UGA. GO DAWGS!!!!  Both of them are products of a 12 year education from the Grayson Cluster Gwinnett County Schools.

Mrs. Nicole Zech

Hi! I am Nicole Zech. I work as a paraprofessional in the ASD level 3 classrooms. I am excited to be a part of an amazing staff and to support an exceptional group of students. In 1997, I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in math, from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. Afterwards, I moved to Lawrenceville, Ga to begin my teaching career. I have been involved in education ever since. I am married to a very supportive husband, and we have two brilliant children who attend UGA. In my spare time I enjoy camping, running, reading and traveling.
