• Draw it. Build it. Test it. Prove it.

    Challenge Accepted

    Draw it

Manufacturing students use the latest in CAD and CAM software to design parts in a virtual environment. Students will build an entry level understanding of FANUC style G-Code CNC programming. Class projects give everyone the opportunity to learn and use a variety of traditional and computer controlled manufacturing equipment.

    Build it

Manufacturing is behind all the products we buy and use in our every day lives. Manufacturing professionals design machinery, develop products, repair robots, work with software, and develop green technology (for example: clean energy to protect the environment). This class is a student’s chance to turn an interest in solving puzzles, robotics, repairing cars, or building with Legos into a full-time career. These are all skills that relate to manufacturing. This class uses practical applications that may be learned in engineering classes at a student’s home school.

    Test it

When we say test it. We mean it. Students will learn about the engineering design process including the prototype and test phase. Student projects will be exposed to unique experiments and competitions to see if they can hold up against real world expectations and standards.

    Prove it

Everything manufactured must answer "who, what, where, when, why, and how". Our students learn how to answer these questions for their projects. Who can make this? What will it take to make it? When should the project goals be finished? Why should we produce this part? How do we make it?
