TV & Video Production

  • The Video Production and Television Broadcast program will give you the chance to bring your ideas to life and tell exciting stories through the lens of a camera.

This hands-on program prepares you to succeed in a college video production program or a career in this growing field by offering experience with the fundamental and advanced aspects of video production, using Avid-based, industry standard equipment in our on-site full-scale television and video production studio.

Spending time behind and in front of the camera, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of program formats including multiple camera interviews, commercials, music videos, short films, and others. Producing the Grayson High School Announcements, a six-minute broadcast shown school-wide every morning, gives you the chance to shine in the spotlight! These projects will also serve as the basis for a strong portfolio demonstrating your skills and creativity.

Atlanta is a Top Ten market for careers in the field of Video Production and Television Broadcast, home to industry leaders such as CNN, Cartoon Network, Georgia Public Broadcasting and several leading television network affiliates. Through field trips and guest speakers, you will meet these potential employers and learn about cutting-edge trends and techniques.
