Ram Reading Challenge
CMS Ram Reading Challenge
We are excited to announce that Gordon Korman, author of Restart, Swindle, Ungifted, Slacker, and many more best-sellers, will be with us for a virtual visit on December 7, 2020. To qualify for this Zoom event, students must complete the Ram Reading Challenge for semester one. Here are the requirements:
- Read two books.
- Write a review on each of those two books.
Sixth and Seventh Grade Directions
Sixth and seventh graders will be using Biblionasium, the reading log linked to the CMS Media Catalog, to record their books and write their reviews. If students need help using Biblionasium, they can watch this video. Here is an image of the screen that pops up when you click the “Review It” tab on a book.
Use complete sentences to write a paragraph of at least four sentences in length. Biblionasium gives you some suggested questions to get you started. You may choose to answer any of the suggested questions, or you may choose from the additional questions below. Your review must answer at least three questions.
- Who is your favorite character and why?
- What was your favorite scene and why?
- What did you like (or dislike) most about this book?
Don’t give away the ending; you don’t want to spoil it for others who might want to read the book!
Eighth Grade Directions
Eighth graders will use the format provided by their language arts teacher to document their reading and write their two reviews.
