Mrs. Darlene Richardson
Mrs. Richardson has been a professional educator in the public school system since 2001. She is a Georgia transplant from Houston, Texas. Her family recently relocated to the area following an excellent job opportunity for her husband. During the transition she was on a quest to provide their two children (9th grader and 3rd grader) the experience of being in a world-class educational system. After countless hours of research they picked the best school district in the state of Georgia - Gwinnett County Public School. Shortly after enrolling their kids in GCPS she accepted the Art position at Peachtree Ridge High School teaching Visual Arts Composition 2D/3D, Drawing, Painting and Graphic Design.
Prior to moving to Georgia she has served in multiple areas of instuction including: Pre-AP Studio Art, AP Studio Art, Advanced Art, Sculpture, Ceramics, Introduction to Art, Algebra 1 & 2. Mrs. Richardson has also spent quality time as a Math Content Support Specialist and Graduation Coach. In addition to her Dual Teacher Certification in Secondary Mathematics and Art, she also holds her Principal Certification. She has earned both her B.S. and M.Ed all from The University of Texas at Austin.
Since moving to Georgia her family are now Bulldog fans and enjoy spending football season watching UGA play in Sanford Stadium. On the weekends if she is not at her son's football/basketball games or at her daughter's tennis tournaments...you can find her and her family exploring the beautiful Peach State! Their favorite family activities are: whitewater rafting, hiking mountain trails, chasing waterfalls, biking beachside, listening to live music and going to local festivals.
During the school day you can find her here:
