    • PBIS Events

    TWIST Volunteer Opportunities

    • We will have opportunities for parent and community volunteers during our TWIST PBL units
    • TWIST stands for Teamwork Welcoming Innovating STEM Thinking
    • During our Project based or problem based learning units we will need parent and community experts to speak during our kick-off for the unit
    • We also may need parents to judge and give feedback on student project presentations
    • We will communicate our need for parent volunteers through email and the Longhorn Loop.

    PBIS Volunteer Opportunities

    • We are a PBIS school which means we use positive behavior awards and incentives to recognize students for being ready, respectful, and responsible here at school each day
    • We will have PBIS celebrations each semester and we will need parent volunteers to donate items, manage stations, and help monitor students during the celebrations
    • We also need giving tree donations such as fidget toys, candy/treats, and cool school supplies to stock our grade level PBIS stores for students to purchase items when they earn behavior points
