Art Club
ART CLUB Grades 2 – 5

Beta Club
BETA CLUB Grades 4 - 5

National Beta Club is an organization that began in 1934
under the leadership of John W. Harris. Since its
inception, Beta Club has introduced a standard of
service to others with its motto being "Let Us Lead By
Serving Others." Not only is the organization focused on
service, but it is focused on developing leaders of
tomorrow through academia and leadership driven
ideals. -
Comet Buddies
Comet Buddies Grade 4 - 5, and program area students

Comet Buddies is a peer-to-peer support program designed to give students the opportunity to build relationships with students in program area classrooms and ain understanding, and patience, and build inclusive practices. Participation will encourage students to value and celebrate diversity as they learn to understand the perspectives of their peers.

Comet News Crew
COMET NEWS CREW (CNC) Grade 5
• Sponsor: Mr. Hamby
• Location: Media Center
• Date: Daily
• Time: 8:20 am- 8:55 am
The Comet News Crew is an exciting morning broadcast
show produced by our 5th grade students. As a member
of CNC, students will have the opportunity to
participate in on-air positions and technical positions
such as the Teleprompter operator, video mixer, and the
audio mixer. We will also take a trip to the CNN Center.
Teacher recommendation and parent permission are
both required. -
Elite Comet Steppers
ELITE COMET STEPPERS Grades 3 - 5
• Sponsor: Mrs. T. Jones & Mrs. James
• Location: First Gym (Yarbrough's Gym)
• Date: Every Wednesday
• Time: 7:30am – 8:20amThe mission of this club is to promote unity through the
use of step and dancing to enhance teamwork and
increase student leadership. Students will learn rhythm,
movement, beat and the skill of coordination within step
and dance routines. Students will have opportunities to
participate in various performances throughout the year

First Lego League
First Lego League - Grades 4 - 5
• Sponsor: Mr. Fraga & Mr. Price
• Location: Robotics Room
• Date: Every Tuesday
• Time: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
First Lego League teams research a real-world problem and are challenged to develop a solution. They must also design, build, and program a robot using Lego Spike technology. Students also compete on a table-top playing field against other teams. This club teaches students to apply science, technology, engineering, and math concepts, plus imagination, to solve a problem. Students may be asked to participate in the competition in December. -

First Lego League Discover Grades K - 1

Students will learn engineering and collaborative skills through building with a purpose. -
First Lego League Explore
First Lego Explore - Grades 2 - 3
• Sponsor: Mr. Fraga & Mr. Price
• Location: Robotics Room
• Date: Tuesdays (Starts in Spring)
• Time: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Students will explore building with Lego blocks and coding with their software. -
Get Active Club
Get Active Club Grades 2 - 4
• Sponsor: Coach Yarbrough
• Location: First Gym (Yarbrough's Gym)
• Date: every other Thursday
• Time: 7:30 am – 8:20 am
The Get Active Club is designed to provide students with the ability to learn the skills needed to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. Students learn about healthy habits, muscular strength and endurance, cardiovascular strength and endurance as well as teamwork, and responsibility. -
Girls On The Run
GIRLS ON THE RUN Grades 3 – 5

• Location: First Gym (Yarbrough's Gym)
• Date: Beginning in SPRING
**Parent Meeting and Online Registration Required. Look for an advertisement for a meeting in December.
Girls on the Run is a North American non-profit program that works to encourage pre-teen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games, culminating in a celebratory 5k run in the spring of 2022. -
Kidz Life Club
Good News Club Grades 2 - 5

KidzLife Club is a Christian Club. (Formerly Good News Club). Kidz Life seeks to help kids come to know the true heart of God. -
Magill Music Maestro
Magill Music Maestro Grades 3 - 5

PAGE TURNERS Grade 4 - 5

The Page Turners Club will meet to promote reading, discuss books and prepare for Readers Rally competition for the 2022-2023 school year. Students must have parent permission to participate. -
Yearbook Club
YEARBOOK CLUB Grade 5

The Yearbook Club is designed to provide students
with the skills and the ability to apply targeted skills
to the production of our Magill Elementary School
Yearbook. Students learn about teamwork,
responsibility, brainstorming, content, writing,
headlines, captions, editing, photography, design,
graphics, advertising, and distribution. Mastery of the
goals and objectives in all these areas of publication
and production, students will be encouraged to
pursue technology courses for future educational
goals and career opportunities.
