    The Art Club is for any student who loves creating and learning about art. We will partake in a variety of activities and techniques to build on what is learned in regular art class.

  • Beta Club

    BETA CLUB Grades 4 - 5

    Fees: $50 National Beta Fees, Field Trip, and Shirt

    The National Beta Club is an organization that began in 1934  under the leadership of John W. Harris. Since its  inception, Beta Club has introduced a standard of  service to others, with its motto being "Let Us Lead By  Serving Others." Not only is the organization focused on service, but it is also focused on developing leaders of tomorrow through academic and leadership-driven ideals.

    We will learn to sing in different styles using good techniques and learn to read vocal music. We will perform a few times during the year and 5th graders will have the opportunity to audition for the Gwinnett County Honor Chorus, where the best singers in the county will meet to work with a special guest and learn and perform high-quality music.

    Keyboard Club is designed to teach students the basics of learning to play piano and provide performance opportunities to showcase their individual talents.

  • Comet News Crew

    COMET NEWS CREW (CNC) Grade 5

    • Location: Media Center
    • Date: Daily
    • Time: 8:20 am- 8:55 am

    *Application and Teacher Recommendation Required.  

    The Comet News Crew is an exciting morning broadcast show produced by our 5th-grade students. As a member of CNC, students will have the opportunity to participate in on-air positions and technical positions such as the Teleprompter operator, video mixer, and audio mixer.  Teacher recommendation and parent permission are both required.

    The Comet Sports Club is designed to provide students with the ability to learn the skills needed to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. Students are presented with a variety of different sports that can lead to lifelong healthy habits, muscular strength and endurance, cardiovascular strength and endurance as well as teamwork, and responsibility. Gaining knowledge in all of these areas will benefit students by learning a variety of sports that can lead to lifelong fitness. Join the Comet Sports Club to learn how to be healthy and have fun at the SAME TIME.



  • Comet Ukulele/Guitar Club

    Comet Ukulele/Guitar Club 3 - 5

    Fees: $45 (Ukulele/T Shirt, Strings)

    The Ukulele/Guitar Club is designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn the basic skills of playing the Ukulele/Guitar, including Open Strings and Basic Chords. Students will keep their Ukulele upon paying the Club Fee.  

  • Elite Comet Steppers

    ELITE COMET STEPPERS Grades 3 - 5

    The mission of this club is to promote unity through the use of steps and dancing to enhance teamwork and increase student leadership. Students will learn rhythm, movement, beat, and the skill of coordination within step and dance routines.

  • First Lego League

    First Lego League - Grades 4 - 5


    • Sponsor: Mr. Fraga & Mr. Price
    • Location: Robotics

    • Date: every Thursday beginning in September 
    • Time: 7:30-8:20 AM 

    Fee: $30 (cost includes t-shirt) 

    *Limited Space Available 

    *Applications will be required. 

    First Lego League teams research a real-world problem and are challenged to develop a solution. They must also design,  build, and program a robot using Lego Spike technology.  Students also compete on a table-top playing field against other teams. This club teaches students to apply science,  technology, engineering, and math concepts, plus imagination, to solve a problem. Students may be asked to participate in the competition in December.

  • Magill Service Comets

    The Magill Services Comets will meet monthly to complete various community service projects. Projects may be on the school campus, other projects may be offsite. The date and time of the service projects will be determined.

     

  • Page Turners

    PAGE TURNERS Grade 4 - 5

    • Location: Media Center
    • Date: Monthly to review the book and get the new one. More dates to be added as we near the Readers Rally Competition in February. Dates to be given to students.

    • Time: 4:00 - 4:40 PM

    The Page Turners Club will meet to promote reading and discussing the 2023-2024 Readers Rally books. Students will read the Readers Rally books, practice reading bowl skills, and then compete at the GCPS Readers Rally Tournament at Peachtree Ridge HS in Feb 2024. Students must have parental permission to participate
