Parent Portal and SchoolMessenger

For those of you who have not already applied for a parent portal account:
- If you're not sure if you have an active account, simply click this link and use your email address as the username to attempt to reset your password.
- If the system does not recognize your email address, then please complete a parent portal application form and email it along with a scan of your photo ID to firstname.lastname@example.org.
- If you already have an active parent portal account, sure to check that we have your correct parent contact information. Here is the link to log in.
GCPS parents and guardians can access SchoolMessenger through their Parent Portal account. The link is found under the Notification System tile. A parent also can use the app or visit the SchoolMessenger website at go.schoolmessenger.com. Create an account by clicking Sign Up at the top right.

TO CHANGE INFORMATION IN YOUR ACCOUNT
Phone Numbers and Student NicknameParents can update student's home phone number and emergency contacts through Parent Portal. They can also update the student nickname.
Home AddressParents cannot change a home address on Parent Portal. That has to be done in person with supporting documents that the school places on file. Visit the Registrar page for details.
Email AddressComplete another Parent Portal application and present it at the main office with a photo ID. Please write CHANGE OF EMAIL on top of the form. Or email the form and a scan of your ID here.See all forms on this page.
