Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) is implementing new safety and security measures for the 2025–26 school year as part of its continued commitment to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students and staff.

Gwinnett County Public Schools’ (GCPS) International Newcomer Center (INC) is the first point of contact for newly arriving international families with middle and high school students, and the source for language services for the school district.
As Gwinnett students and teachers return from summer break, many will be welcomed by new leadership. During the 2024-2025 school year, 15 educational leaders were appointed as principals, including eight who will begin their first full year at their respective schools in August 2025.
Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) begins the school year in August with renovations and improvements to several existing schools.
