Who Needs to Register?

  • All new students enrolling in GCPS, including kindergartners.
  • Kindergarten eligibility: Children must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026.
  • All current GCPS Pre-K students, enrolling as kindergartners.
  • Current GCPS students moving to a new address need to complete the GCPS transfer online registration process.
     

How to Register:

  1. Online Registration: Visit the GCPS New Student Enrollment page to begin.
  2. Create an Account: You'll need an active email address top set up your ParentVUE account.
  3. Complete the Online Forms: Fill in required information about your child and family.
  4. Upload Documents: Submit necessary documents online or schedule an appointment with your local school for assistance.
    Note: Required documents will be verified in person by an enrollment team member at the local school.
     

Required Documents

  • Proof of Age: Certified birth certificate or other official document.
  • Proof of Residency: Two documents, such as a lease agreement or deed, and a water or electric bill.
  • Immunization Records: Georgia Form #3231 or a notarized exemption (Form #2208).
  • Health Screening: Vision, Hearing, Dental, and Nutrition (Form #3300).
  • Parent/Guardian ID: Valid photo identification.
  • Social Security Number: Optional; if not provided, a waiver is available.
     

Important Dates:

  • Start Online Registration: Now open for the 2026-2027 school year.
  • First Day of School: August 5, 2026.
