Car Rider Procedures
Please follow the safety guidance and directions from your child's school to ensure safety and timeliness for everyone.
- Designated Areas: Use the school's designated lanes only for drop-off and pick-up.
- Car Rider Tags: Your school may provide car rider tags. Display your car rider tag prominently; without it, you'll need to check in at the front office with ID.
- Arrival Times: Do not drop of students before school supervision begins.
- Drop-off/Pick-up Etiquette:
- Have students exit/enter the car on the passenger side closest to the sidewalk.
- Use designated parking and walking areas if you are walking your child into school.
- Avoid using cell phones in the car rider line.
- Turn off your engine if waiting for extended periods.
- Timeliness: Ensure timely drop-off and pick-up to avoid disruptions.
Check your local school website for car-rider information.
Walker Safety
- Designated Routes: Students should use sidewalks and crosswalks, following the paths designated by the school.
- Dismissal Procedures: Parents picking up walkers should go to the school's designated walker pick-up area and present the appropriate identification or walker number as requested by school officials.
- Safety First: Encourage children to walk in groups and be aware of their surroundings.
- Weather Considerations: Ensure students are dressed appropriately for the weather and have a plan for inclement conditions.
