Report Absences

You can now submit information regarding recent absences, such as doctor's notes, in ParentVUE.

Parents can also submit notes for future days the student will be absent (up to 7 days into the future).  This feature is only for when students will be absent for the whole day.  If the student will be tardy or absent for only a few periods, please submit the note the following day, after attendance has been recorded.

From the app home screen, students with recent absences will appear with a number above the "Report Absence" button.  Notes should be submitted within seven days of an absence.  (Absence notes cannot be submitted the same day as the absence.  Notes can be submitted the following day.)

On the Report Absences screen, there will be a list of eligible recent absences.

1. First, Select a Reason for the absence (from Absent, Religious, or College Visit (HS only)).
2. Type a Note if there is additional information the school should know.
3. Tap on "Add doctor's note or document" to take or upload a picture of a supporting document if one is available.
4. Click Save once you are done.
