Administered to students by itself in the fall and administered together with the EES Student Survey in the spring, the EES Student Wellness Screener provides schools and district staff with valuable data about the academic, social, and emotional needs of students. The results will be used to identify students needing additional support in the areas of Academic Behaviors, Social Behaviors, and Emotional Behaviors.

EES Family Survey
What is the purpose of this survey?

What is the EES Family Survey and why is it important?
Within a school there are certain practices and characteristics that affect student learning and the overall performance of the school. To change or improve, it is first necessary to understand what is happening in our schools and what students as well as parents/families are experiencing. Family feedback is important to provide the best possible education for each and every child.
How will results from the EES Family Survey be used?
Results from the EES Family Survey are used by school and district leaders to inform key decisions. For example, results from the EES Family Survey are included in district key performance indicators (KPIs), local schools plans for improvement, and scheduling of family engagement activities.
What is the difference between the EES Family Survey and the Georgia School Climate Survey for Families?
The EES Family Survey asks questions about families’ experiences with research-based characteristics of high-performing schools including: collaboration, communication, goals, leadership, standards, environment, teaching and learning, and involvement. The Georgia School Climate Survey for Families asks questions about families’ experiences related to safety in, communication with, and relationships at their child’s school.
What should families do if they have more than one child enrolled in a GCPS school?
Every parent or caregiver is invited to take the EES Family Survey for each school(s) they have a child or children attending. If two or more children attend the same school, please only complete one survey for each school.
Which survey should individuals take if they have children in the school system and they work for the school system?
As a parent or caregiver, you should take one EES Family Survey for each school in which you have a child enrolled. As an employee, you should take the EES Staff Survey.
When will families be asked to take the EES Family survey?
The EES Family Survey is administered annually, starting the first week in February.
Where can families find the link for the EES Family Survey?
