Community Involvement
In today’s world, school districts have many ways to communicate with families, but one of the most valuable communication tools is engaging with and receiving feedback from those our schools serve.
Throughout the school year GCPS will invite students, families, staff and the community to offer feedback and input through district wide surveys.
You can also join a Community Group to get information sent to you, or read all our latest news to stay up to date on GCPS.
Community Groups on ParentSquare
A Community Group is a public self-enrollment group. Students, families, and staff, as well as users from outside our district are able to join the group from a our district's Join Community Groups page. GCPS Schools may also choose to provide school community groups, schools that do participate will have a "Join Community Groups" page linked from the school website.
Join a Community Group
To join a GCPS District Community Group follow these steps:
- Select the desired group(s) available here by clicking the box(es), enter your full name and email address and click Submit.
- You will receive an activation email to complete your registration. Click Activate your account.
Community Input Opportunties
- The FY2026 Budget Development Survey is Open Through October 31, 2024!
- GCPS Considering New Clear Backpacks Policy. Please complete this short, three-question survey by Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
- GCPS invites community, staff members to apply for GEMS committee by August 9, 2024.
- FY2025 Budget Development Survey Open Through December 11, 2023
- Voting for the school year calendars for 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 has ended.
