Hopkins Elementary School is marking its 40th anniversary with a Family Fall Festival on September 20 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Plaza Las Americas in Lilburn. The celebration will highlight the school’s four decades of impact with fun activities for the whole family. The event will feature games, entertainment, and business and community partners sharing valuable resources and information with attendees.
Hopkins Elementary Principal Dr. Gabriel Zaragoza looks forward to the celebration and his school’s future. “The future of Hopkins will continue with positivity that supports our vision of cultivating learners, empowering families, and strengthening communities,” Dr. Zaragoza shares. “Our token gift this year is a floppy disk, which was invented in 1984, the same year our school opened. We are using it as a symbol to demonstrate how far we have come with Computer Science classes for ALL at the HOP! Hopkins continues expanding learning opportunities for our students, and the momentum will continue into the next 40 years at the HOP!”
