Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) refers to each year's budget as an "Investment Plan" for its students, employees, and community. Throughout the annual budget process, we solicit input and feedback from all stakeholders to help inform investments in the budget that address important needs, strategic goals, and objectives. The conservative approach to budgeting has enabled the district to achieve greater financial security and build a pathway forward to achieving long-term goals while maintaining a balanced budget and delivering on the promises GCPS has made to its stakeholders. Each year, GCPS engages in a 10-month budget process that involves staff, students, and citizens.

The purpose of the FY2027 Budget Development Survey is to inform decisions around funding priorities in School Year 2026-27. GCPS is committed to our core business of teaching with an emphasis on learning. Understanding our community’s feedback on the district’s general budget plays a vital role in positioning the district optimally for success.

Before the Board of Education adopts the 2026-27 school year budget, GCPS will hold public hearings to engage students, families, staff, and community members. The FY2027 Budget Development Survey is the first opportunity for the community to provide input. The survey is available in multiple languages and consists of four short questions. Take the FY2027 Budget Development Survey now!
