Three Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) students have been selected to participate in Delta Community Credit Union’s High School Apprentice Program, a part of Georgia’s Work-Based Learning initiative. Essomah Ayereby, from Brookwood High School, and Ayleen Beza Alfaro, and Najya Robinson from Peachtree Ridge High School, are among a select group of 17 students from nine metro Atlanta counties taking part in the program.
The students will work as part-time tellers during the 2024-25 school year. “Opportunities like this provide our students with real-world experience that prepares them for future success,” says Peachtree Ridge Principal Jadd Jarusinski.
More than 200 students have participated in Delta Community’s work-based learning program since 2006, making it one of Georgia’s top student employers.
