Transition Plan & Superintendent Search Update

Dear GCPS Families and Staff, 

We want to share an important update about leadership changes in our school district. Dr. Al Taylor will begin serving as Interim Superintendent on April 2, 2025. To help guide our district during this time, he has created a plan in collaboration with the Gwinnett County Board of Education called Moving Forward Together: A Transition Plan for Stability and Growth. This plan outlines our priorities to keep students learning and schools running smoothly. In addition, the Board of Education has officially launched a Request for Information (RFI) to identify a search firm that will conduct the search for our next Superintendent. This is an important step in ensuring a thoughtful and inclusive process as we seek the next leader for our school district.
 
We will continue to share updates on the transition plan and the superintendent search through our district website, newsletters, board meetings, and community events. Your support and involvement are important as we move forward together.
