12 Gwinnett seniors named Posse Scholars
- GCPS News
Twelve Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) seniors have been granted four-year, full-tuition scholarships by the Posse Foundation. The foundation was established in 1989 to recognize public high school students who exhibit exceptional academic and leadership skills but may not be noticed by conventional college selection processes. Posse allows these students to pursue their personal and academic goals by placing them in supportive, multicultural teams known as Posses, comprising ten students. Partner colleges and universities of the Posse Foundation award Posse Scholars four-year, full-tuition leadership scholarships. These scholars have a graduation rate of 90% and often make a visible impact on campus and in their professional careers.
