Arcado Elementary School has been awarded a $100,000 grant from Kleenex® as part of the company’s 100th-anniversary campaign to support schools in need. The grant, provided through a partnership with DonorsChoose, is part of Kleenex’s $500,000 initiative to help schools nationwide. DonorsChoose is a nonprofit organization that connects public school teachers in need of classroom resources with donors who want to help, ensuring students have access to the tools they need to succeed.

“This grant will allow us to provide our students with the resources they need to thrive in the classroom,” says Arcado Elementary's gifted program teacher, Allison Cutter, who applied for the contest earlier this summer. It’s not just about the materials—we are creating an environment where students feel supported, inspired, and excited to learn. We are incredibly grateful to Kleenex and DonorsChoose for recognizing the importance of our students' education,Cutter adds.

The grant will be used for essential classroom supplies, educational tools, and initiatives to enhance learning experiences at Arcado Elementary. Kleenex’s collaboration with DonorsChoose underscores its commitment to addressing the needs of schools and students nationwide.

Arcado Elementary Principal Dr. Paula Thompson adds, “Mrs. Cutter is an invaluable employee who supports Arcado's vision and mission to create excellence in the lives of our students. Her desire to provide authentic learning experiences through innovative technology will be realized through this grant money.”
